Frequently asked questions

Should I pay off debt or invest?

It depends on your numbers: the interest rate on the debt, what you could realistically earn investing, your timeline, taxes, and whether the plan stays affordable along the way. A rule of thumb can’t tell you that. InvestEd runs your specific inputs and shows what each option does over time, so you can see where the answer flips.

No. It doesn’t recommend products, tell you what to buy, hold your money, or act for you. It shows what each option does in your numbers, and you decide. For personal advice, speak to a qualified professional.

No. You type in the numbers you want to model. InvestEd never asks for bank access or account logins.

You can run a full plan without paying.

No, you can start without one. Sign in only if you want to save a plan, commit to one, and come back for the monthly check-in. Signing in is passwordless: you enter your email and we send a six-digit code.

Every number comes from a deterministic engine, not from the AI. The same inputs always give the same answer, and you can tap any figure to see how it was reached. The core scenarios are checked against independent models. Projections are illustrative and based on the assumptions shown. They’re not a guarantee.

Eva is the assistant. It understands your situation in plain language, asks for what’s missing, shows what it assumed, and explains the results. It can’t invent or change a number, and it won’t tell you what to do.

Paying down debt versus investing (including several loans at once), paying off debt faster, investing monthly across a few pots, saving for a one-off goal, buying a home with a mortgage, and buying a home versus renting and investing the difference. Loans in different currencies work, and US results can include federal and state tax.

Pick specific stocks or funds, plan retirement withdrawals, model saving up first and then buying a home, compare pairs other than buying versus renting and investing, plan several goals together, or handle insurance, legal or tax filing. When something is outside what it can model, it says so and shows the nearest thing it can do.

That’s common and it’s the case InvestEd handles best. Eva asks what matters to you, suggests a sensible starting point, and shows its guess so you can correct it.

It collects only what the plan needs, never sells your data, and shows no ads. When you use the AI, your plan numbers and what you type go to the AI provider so it can write the explanation, but your name, email and phone are not sent. You can delete your account and most of what’s tied to it yourself. Full detail is on the Privacy page.
